Stoma Review Consultations
During a stoma review (colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy), Monarch Care conducts a thorough assessment using all relevant clinical information. We evaluate the current stoma condition, review Stomal Appliance Scheme (SAS) products, and apply for additional supplies through the SAS if needed—ensuring optimal care and support.

Complex Wound Care
Our specialised outreach service offers comprehensive evaluation and advanced management for complex wounds in aged care, hospice, and palliative settings. Each treatment plan is customised to enhance comfort, reduce pain, and promote optimal healing while aligning with overall patient goals.

Tailored Education for Staff
We provide hands-on and virtual sessions for nursing homes, palliative care, and hospice settings. Topics may include wound or stoma care (including appliance management), dressing classification and application, and pressure injury vs. incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD)—plus IAD management. These are just examples, and we can tailor each session to meet your facility’s unique needs, ultimately enhancing staff skills and patient outcomes.

Ongoing Stoma Consultation
This follow-up service is offered within three months of your initial stoma review. During the visit, Monarch Care will:

• Reassess Stoma Health & Healing Progress
• Review & Adjust SAS Products as needed
• Address Concerns related to stoma care
• Provide Updated Care Recommendations

If desired, staff bedside coaching and clinical mentoring can continue, supporting ongoing skill development for your team.

Complex Wound(s) Review
A shorter follow-up for patients seen within the last 3 months. We reassess wound progress, update management plans, and provide ongoing support.

• Debridement & Dressing Change (if indicated)

Virtual Stoma Review
Monarch Care offers remote consultations via Zoom, especially beneficial for clients outside our service area (Northern NSW to Brisbane). Prior to the review, please provide photographs and a list of your current stoma products. This approach ensures timely, expert guidance while minimising travel and facilitating convenient care.
